Top 10 Comedy Movies to look forward to in 2016

2015 had again some popular comedy films like Joy, Sisters and The Intern. But we can laugh enough in 2016 to subtle jokes, fart jokes and some familiar faces? What are the top ten comedy films work out our funny bone in 2016?

10. Hail, Caesar!

A new film by the Coen brothers is always something to look forward to. Hail, Caesar! about the kidnapping of a Hollywood actor seems to be another old-fashioned comedy in the baroque style with which they were famous. The Coens have been honored so that they can get the biggest stars for each film. Actors like George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson and Josh Brolin return along with Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton. Expect February 18th.



9. The Brothers Grimsby

Sacha Baron Cohen also known as Ali G and Borat returns in 2016 with a bizarre espionage comedy. Mark Strong plays a deadly spy who leads a successful life. He has broken many years ago with his savvy little brother (Sacha Baron Cohen) who leads a life as a football hooligan. When they meet, the brothers become entangled in an adventure where they must save the world together again. Meanwhile, some people will get quite offended. Expect 3rd March.

8. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Tina Fey has in recent years become one of the most popular comediennes of America. With Whiskey Tango Foxtrot she ventures into the filming of The Taliban Shuffle which war journalist Kim Barker recounts her experiences in Afghanistan. Undoubtedly a good background for an absurd comedy. Martin Freeman (Sherlock Holmes, The Hobbit) plays a Scottish journalist that Fey gets a strange relationship. Expect March 4th.

7. Keeping Up with the Joneses

2016 will be an interesting year for Jon Hamm, better known as Don Draper in Mad Men. Can he now legendary series has ended still play other roles credible? In Keeping Up with the Joneses may Hamm try his comedic talents. In the film comes a couple discovers that their neighbors are spies. Soon, they become entangled itself in an international intrigue. Expect March 31st.

6. Eddie the Eagle

The British ski jumper Eddie Edwards became famous during the Winter Olympics in 1988. Edwards was a versatile athlete and stuntman who invariably finished last in ski jumping and yet continued to participate stiff. In this way he became a cult hero and a perfect character for a feelgood comedy. The young actor Taron Egerton plays Eddie the Eagle and is assisted by the intriguing combination of Hugh Jackman and Christopher Walken. Expect 28 Arpil.

5. Central Intelligence

Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, has in recent years become one of the most successful actors. This beefcake really has a nose for blockbusters. Central Intelligence he plays Bob, a deadly CIA agent who was bullied in his younger years. Now it's time for a school reunion. His former schoolmate played by Kevin Hart is now an honest accountant. Bob asks to join him apparently in jest to a secret operation which results in a crazy adventure. Expected June 16th.

4. Masterminds

Jared Hess is the name of the couple that was responsible for the humor classic Napoleon Dynamite. But their last movie Gentlemen Broncos dates back from 2009 and was an outright flop. With comic veterans Kristin Wiig, Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson Masterminds should fare better. Bank robberies are classic situations comedies and Masterminds used also a true story, the Loomis Fargo bank robbery in 1997 where more than 17 million dollars was looted. Or the better ending for the characters in the film than their examples from real life can be seen from September 30th.

Bad Santa is a strange Christmas movie. Two thieves played by Billy Bob Thorton and Tony Cox go as Santa and his elf helpers dressed down stores where they take their chances. The rude and sex addict Santa seems to have changed after he helps a boy to defend himself against bullies. For Christmas 2016 will finally appear a sequel which will undoubtedly prove to Bad Santa has not remained on the right path. Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) joins as a woman who leads a charitable project which Bad Santa dropped his eye. Unfortunately, they also have some men who go dressed as Santa Claus.

The forthcoming third film keeps the minds churning because the ghost hunters this time played by women. Two authors write a book about the existence of ghosts. Problem is they do not know who the baby's father. Colin Firth returns as Mark Darcy and leading candidate for fatherhood. Or does newcomer Patrick Demsey (Grey's Anatomy) anything to do with it? We will know it from 15th September.
