Things that celebrities do are imitated by a lot of people and that is good to some extent. But what happens when you find out that your favorite celebrity has been accused of murder charges? That will bring shock to you of course. But like every man; these celebrities are also bound to be the prey of their circumstances. Not all of these celebrities accused of killing someone did it intentionally; but the major thing to be noted is that a life (or lives in some cases) was lost. Accusation was made against these celebrities and no matter whether they were punished or not; they were later known amongst the public as “killers”. 10. Keith Moon

Keith John Moon was an English drummer who was well known for his eccentric and self destructive behavior. He played for the English rock band ‘The Who’. On the fateful night of January 1970; Moon along with friend Neil Boland(who was also his driver and bodyguard) went to the opening of a pub that was opened by his neighbor’s son. There were some skinheads at that time present in the club who didn’t liked the presence of Moon in the pub and then suddenly things turned ugly. When Neil and Moon were trying to escape; Neil somehow ended up against the Bentley that the drummer was driving and was announced dead after he was taken to the hospital. Moon was however given absolutely discharge but he could not be free from his own guilt.
9. Jayson Williams

This former NBA player could be regarded as someone for whom success and fame was hard to digest. Jayson is charged of reckless manslaughter in which he killed a limousine driver named Costas “Gus” Christofi. Jayson at that time was giving everybody a tour of his 30,000 square foot home when he was showing off his shotgun and accidentally shot Costas. Jayson was sentenced 5 years in prison with parole possible only after 18 months on January 11, 2010.
8. Sid Vicious

If you were to take a complete look at the history of this Bassist; you could have predicted some sort of criminal activity from this person. Sid was the bassist for a controversial yet influential punk rock band named as Sex Pistols. Sid and his prostitute girlfriend were staying at Hotel Chelsea where on the morning of 12thOctober 1978; Sid found her dead. They were both heroin addicts and after police arrested him he kept changing versions of what happened at that night. Before he could be sentenced to any sort of punishment; he died just after a few months due to an overdose of heroin.
7. Laura Bush

It would be a shock to see her name in this list but the truth is that the wife of the43rd US President George W Bush was charged with the killing of her ex boyfriend Michael Dutton Douglas. It was a 6th of November in 1963 and she was driving with her friend when she ran a stop sign and smashed the car of Douglas. She didn’t face any major injury and neither did her friend but Douglas was killed. Though she was not a celebrity back then neither was she punished; but it has to fall in her account.
6. Snoop Dogg

Snoop is an American rapper who has been active in the industry since 1992. This incident when Snoop was arrested in the matter of death of Philip Woldemariam happened when he was recording for the Doggystyle in August of 1993. Phillip was a member of a rival gang and he was killed after being shot byMcKinley Lee who was the bodyguard of Snoop. Due to a good defense byJohnnie Cochran; both were acquitted from the case on the area of self defense.
5. Roscoe Cockling Arbuckle

This man was a multitalented name in the era of America’s silent films as he was an actor, director, comedian and screenwriter. It was the night of 5th of September in 1921 that Arbuckle aka Fatty invited a few party lover women along with him in the rooms 1220 and 1221 at the St. Francis hotel of San Francisco. Virginia Rappewas also amongst the woman and then accused Fatty of raping her while she was drunk. Media also exaggerated the incident by giving out the possibility that Arbuckle had ruptured the bladder of Rappe while trying to rape her with a Coca Cola bottle. Though Roscoe was declared innocent in the trials; he never overcame the haunting memories of that night till his death in 1933.
4. Rebecca Gayheart

This 44 year old American actress has snatched a young life on 13th June 2001. Rebecca was talking on her phone while driving when nine year old Jorge Cruz; walking on the street was stuck due to her reckless driving. The kid succumbed to his injuries the following day. Rebecca pleaded no contest and was sentenced 3 years of probation and 750 hours of community service on account of vehicular manslaughter.
3. C- Murder

Corey Miller aka C-Murder comes from a family of celebrities with names likeMaster P, Silkk the Shocker etc. All the above mentioned three were at Harvey’s Platinum club. Steve Thomas a then 16 year old fan of C-Murder; was shot and killed by Miller. Trials at the court found him and Master P guilty and both were sentenced to lifetime prison. Miller is in prison currently and no need to say that it is his rightful place after whatever he did.
2. Don King

You have heard his name and known him for the funny haired promoter of boxers like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. He was a Kent University dropout and was often known for defrauding all of his clients. But the most evil thing done by him had to be 2 killings that he did 13 years apart. In the first case Don killedHillary Brown which was then determined as the justifiable homicide as Brown at that time was trying to rob Don’s gambling house. It was in 1966 that he trampled his employee Sam Garett over the reason that Sam owed him 600$. King was sentenced to 4 years of prison after being found guilty of Non negligent manslaughter.

This 68 year former American footballer became the headline of the news for a year when a case came out after his recently divorced wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman were found stabbed to death on12th June 1994. Though the DNA evidences and long history of spousal abuse suggested a direct link of Simpson with the murder; he was acquitted from the murder charges in a controversial ruling. It looks like nobody is ever going to find out the truth about it.
So these were 10 celebrities who were accused of killing someone. While these celebrities life sorted out in front of them with success in their feet; their momentous act if not ruined their career; at least affected their lives somehow. Success doesn’t always make you a better person after all.
