This was also the result of the joint efforts of Prakash Jha and Ajay Devgan and the movie portrayed the status of crime in Bihar of that time. Ajay Devgan played the role of Superintendent of Police in the movie who feels helpless with the situation of the city of which he is made the in charge of the law enforcing police force. This movie was the adaptation of the great novel Othello by Shakespeare by Indian director Vishal Bhardwaj.
